More Barn.

We are getting close on finishing the barn. I would guess another two, maybe three weeks and we'll be done. The brick started late last week and went up in no time at all.

We had quite a bit of rock left over from our house, so we put up a three foot section of rock around the north and east sides of the barn, the two sides that face houses.

Here's a close up of the brick and rock. We weren't sure how a brick barn would look at first, but now that I see it built, it looks great.

This is the east side view, the side facing my brother's house. Notice the cupola on top of the roof. The only purpose of that is to let light into the upstairs storage area so it's not so dark. I think it looks nice and very "barn-ish." We're adding hay loft doors on the north side of the barn for easy access to the upstairs. There are also stairs inside the barn.
