Spring has been great here in Texas. The weather. Cool temperatures. And lots of outside family time. We had a wonderful Easter. We've been finishing lots of our outside projects.
It had just been a great Spring.
The boys helped me finally finish building the raised garden beds. We're a bit behind on getting vegetables started, but we do our back-up mini-garden that has already been growing for a month.
We built two beds, 16 feet long by 4 feet wide. We're using a mix of Howard Garrett's Texas organic garden and the Square Foot Gardening method...though not quite a square foot since we did the whole 16 foot long thing.
Benjamin was very excited to build his first "box" which is just a mini-raised bed liner for our blueberry bushes. He helped me push the button on the drill, and as you can see by his expression, he was elated.
He has also been very excited by his new green bike. He rides in circles around our circle driveway in front of the house...circles and circles and circles...he can't get enough of it.
Benjamin and Eli climbing the mountain of cedar mulch and cow manure we just bought from our friend's feed store in Denton. They get very angry when I "destroy" the mountain by removing bags for their stated purpose...gardening. They would rather me just leave the mountain there forever.
And EASTER! It was a beautiful day.
Our beautiful little girl...

Easter egg hunting went over better this year. They still didn't quite get it, but after discovering chocolate and prizes in the eggs, they got better at it, especially Eli.
