Get Out of My Way, Lady!

As I cleaned up in the kitchen tonight, I kept hearing the boys yell, "get out of my way, lady" at the top of their little voices. They were playing cars on a paper road track we had made earlier in the day from construction paper. I wasn't sure I had heard them correctly, but then there it was again, "get out of my way" and "move car, move."

It all of a sudden hit me. They were playing cars and mimicking how daddy acts in the car.

Embarrassing.




And now for some more firsts. We had a week full of 'em...

First time Eli took a bath with his clothes on.

He wasn't happy when he realized he forgot to undress.

Beyla's first time eating in the high chair.

Eli's first try at sharing a room with his brother.

Second try at sharing a room. First time it worked.

First time doing...well, I don't know what.

And, finally, one of the best things about the new
room sharing situation is that we don't have to go out
and buy a second Ikea KNAPPA pendant lamp ($29.99).
Benjamin always used this as a night light and Eli wanted one.

And the night time routine is much easier now
that we don't have to split story time and prayers
between the two bedrooms.
